Practice Description

Jeffrey S. Boyd is an experienced trial attorney who represents clients in complex civil and governmental disputes. From 1992-2000, he gained extensive litigation experience while handling primarily product liability, professional liability, and personal injury cases, including complex class actions and consolidations, both in the trial courts and on appeal. In 2000, then-Attorney General John Cornyn appointed him to serve as Deputy Attorney General in charge of Civil Litigation for the State of Texas. Upon completion of that appointment in 2003, he returned to Thompson & Knight's Austin office, where he represents and advises a wide variety of clients in litigation and pre-litigation matters.

In addition to handling complex civil litigation, his experience at the Attorney General's office has enabled him to develop a unique expertise in representing clients in responding to government investigations, defending against government enforcement actions, and advocating their interests in a variety of administrative and quasi-administrative proceedings.
