T&K Attorney Featured in "Texas Trial Legends" Program at the DBA

Dallas - Thompson & Knight Partner John H. Martin was among eight distinguished plaintiff and defense attorneys who participated as a member of a "Texas Trial Legends" panel on February 2, 2010, before the Dallas Bar Association's Tort & Insurance Practice Section. The discussion focused on the qualities of an excellent trial lawyer, dramatic moments in the courtroom, and the value of the jury system in trying complex litigation.

For more than 35 years, Mr. Martin has focused his practice on mass tort and catastrophic injury, aviation, insurance coverage, professional liability, hospital and other healthcare, and general business and commercial litigation.

Mr. Martin is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He currently serves as President-Elect of Lawyers for Civil Justice, a national organization of defense lawyers and corporate counsel dedicated to fairness and improvements within the civil justice system, and will become President in May 2010. He is the past president of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel and DRI, the international organization of attorneys defending the interests of business and individuals in civil litigation.
