New York - The global law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Ira L. Herman will serve as Chair of the American Bankruptcy Institute's ("ABI") "Bankruptcy Fundamentals: Nuts & Bolts for Young & New Practitioners" program on May 5, 2011, at the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. This program will precede ABI's 13th Annual New York City Bankruptcy Conference at the Hilton New York on May 6, 2011.
In addition to his role as Program Chair, Herman will serve as Moderator for the panel discussion on "Ethics and the Chapter 11 Process" at the Nuts & Bolts program. He will be a panelist on the topic of "Examiners and Mediators: Appointment, Retention Orders, Information Access, Uses and Abuses of Confidentiality, Role as Expert" at the Bankruptcy Conference.
Thompson & Knight Counsel Jennifer A. Christian will serve as a panelist on the topic of "Chapter 11 Process, Exclusivity Periods, Claims Trading, Disclosure, Solicitation, Confirmation and Post-Confirmation" at the Nuts & Bolts program.
