Adrienne E. Dominguez focuses her practice on intellectual property and commercial litigation. She has represented national clients in cases involving patent and copyright infringement claims, with particular expertise in patent infringement damages. Adrienne has also litigated complex commercial matters involving theft of trade secrets, recovery of health care benefits, and antitrust, class action, and breach of contract lawsuits.


  • Regularly counsels and defends semiconductor manufacturer in matters related to third-party subpoenas in all Federal Courts
  • Defended telecommunications manufacturer and wireless handset manufacturer in patent infringement matter in the Eastern District of Texas involving 3G telecommunications standard, resulting in jury finding of noninfringement and invalidity
  • Defending semiconductor developer in Section 337 proceeding in the U.S. International Trade Commission relating to bond-pad technology in wi-fi chips
  • Defended international telecommunications equipment company in patent infringement action relating to asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) switching technology in the Eastern District of Texas; obtained stay of litigation pending reexamination of patent-in-suit
  • Defended international semiconductor manufacturer in a patent infringement suit in the Central District of California, obtaining summary judgment and resultant dismissal
  • Handled damages aspects of multiple patent infringement lawsuits filed in the Eastern District of Texas, representing semiconductor manufacturers and a leading wireless handset maker
  • Represented major airline company in a case filed in the Northern District of Texas regarding unauthorized website access, obtaining finding of personal jurisdiction over foreign defendant
  • Defended an in-office procedural services provider in matters involving recovery of health care benefits against several major insurance companies
  • Defended a national mortgage company against copyright infringement/trade secret misappropriation and breach of contract claims relating to software for processing mortgages in the Northern District of Texas
  • Represented several Fortune 500 energy companies in multimillion-dollar ad valorem tax cases involving claims of systematic undervaluations of property, resulting in dismissals of all such claims
  • Handled appellate briefing before Texas and Oklahoma State Supreme Courts and U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Tenth Circuits in several matters, including decisions affirming dismissal of ad valorem tax cases and overturning certification of a nationwide class
