Our real estate attorneys work regularly with developers on a wide range of properties and transactions -- locally, nationally, and internationally. We have helped in converting office and industrial buildings to residential facilities, in constructing new office buildings, in central business district redevelopment projects, and in developing major hotels, shopping centers, and mixed-use and residential towers. For example, we have represented a municipal entity landowner in redeveloping and phased disposition of a 700-acre infill site into a mixed-use retail, office, medical, education, and residential development expected to house 10,000 new residents, to create 10,000 long-term jobs, and generate a tax base in excess of $1 billion. We have also helped a large government-related institution develop its new headquarters in Dallas, including site acquisition and contract negotiations with architects, engineers, and construction contractors.

In planning for development, our attorneys can skillfully examine all relevant zoning, planning, and other rules to ensure that each project is completed in compliance with applicable requirements. We also have extensive experience in negotiating AIA contract forms.

Our real estate attorneys also have expertise in developing, among other types of projects:

  • Apartments
  • Condominiums (Residential and Non-Residential)
