Millie Sall focuses her practice on distressed asset acquisitions and divestitures, corporate reorganization, debtor and creditors' rights, corporate crisis management, cross-border insolvency, and commercial litigation matters, routinely offering out of court solutions or handling these matters in federal courts. Millie delivers strategic, creative, cost-effective, and practical legal and business solutions to public and privately held companies in the energy, real estate, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, construction, and food and beverage industries. She has restructured companies utilizing the Chapter 11 process and has provided strategic, legal, and business advice to secured lenders, creditor committees, asset purchasers, claims traders, unsecured creditors, shareholders, and co-liable and non-debtor entities affected by or involved in bankruptcy proceedings.

Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Millie is a native Spanish speaker. She is also proficient in French and Portuguese.


  • Represented Hercules Offshore in its acquisition of all of the drilling rig assets of Seahawk Drilling Inc. and related entities in In re Seahawk Drilling, Inc.,

  • Represented senior secured lender in formulating and implementing a strategy that achieved a favorable sale of its collateral and payment terms in In re Gulf Fleet Holdings, Inc.

  • Represented Texas manufacturing parent company in developing and implementing a strategic plan to resolve issues of underperforming international branch

  • Represented Baseline Oil & Gas in a pre-negotiated filing in In re Baseline Oil &Gas, which resulted in recapitalization of the company's oil and gas properties and resolution of its liabilities

  • Represented financially distressed exploration and production company and operator in evaluating financial alternatives that prevented a chapter 11 filing

  • Represented debtor companies emerging from chapter 11 reorganizations in In re Dow Corning Corporation, In re Continental Airlines (I), National Convenience Stores, Apple Tree Markets, WNS, Inc., Wicks 'n Sticks, Wallpapers to Go, General Homes, Smith Industries, and Tri-Union Development (I)

  • Represented sole shareholder and purchaser of largest asset of estate in In re Ye Seekers, Inc.

  • Represented Dallas State Court Appointed Receiver of two non-debtor entities in In re Heart of Texas Heath Care & Rehabilitation Centers Inc. et al

  • Represented competing plan proponent and asset purchaser in In re Pilgreen Production, Inc.

  • Represented claims trader with more than $2MM in purchased unsecured claims in In re El Paso Refinery Inc., where liquidating trustee unsuccessfully challenged client's entitlement to 100% payout distribution
