Client Alert: Department of Labor Unveils Simplified Optional FMLA Forms

Last week, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division (WHD) announced the publication of revised, streamlined forms for coordinating employee leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). The revised forms are available on the DOL’s website. The WHD also published a Request for Information in the Federal Register seeking the public’s feedback on the administration and use of the FMLA, including the definition of “serious health condition” and the use of intermittent leave. Written comments, which may be submitted electronically or by mail, are due by September 15, 2020.
