The Railroad Commission has a new Director of its Oil and Gas Division. The Commission recently announced that Lori Wrotenbery is stepping into that role after serving in a similar capacity for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. The Director of the Oil and Gas Division oversees the regulation of drilling, production, and transportation of oil and gas in Texas. Prior to joining the RRC, Wrotenbery served as Director of Administration for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) since 2012. Wrotenbery joined the OCC in 2004 as Director of the Oil and Gas Conservation Division. Wrotenbery also previously served as Deputy Director and Assistant Director for Environmental Services in the Oil and Gas Division of the Railroad Commission of Texas, as well as in various leadership roles for the Oil Conservation Commission in New Mexico. She also has served as president and a member of the Ground Water Protection Council and was a founding member of STRONGER (State Review of Oil and Natural Gas Environmental Regulations, Inc.).
