Bruce Sostek Named to North America 2016 Outstanding IP Litigator Awards Shortlist

Dallas – The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce Partner Bruce S. Sostek has been named to the shortlist for the North America 2016 Outstanding IP Litigator Awards by Managing Intellectual Property® (“Managing IP”). He is nominated in the “Outstanding IP Litigator – Texas” category.

Mr. Sostek is Co-Chair of Thompson & Knight’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. His principal focus is on patent litigation, with an emphasis in telecommunications, microelectronics, and oil and gas technology; he also handles complex commercial litigation matters; and counsels clients on strategic uses for intellectual property. He has tried cases involving patent, trademark, and copyright infringement; theft of trade secrets; unfair competition; and related intellectual property issues in federal courts throughout the country and at the International Trade Commission. Mr. Sostek also acts as an arbitrator and mediator of IP issues and counsels clients on the identification, valuation, licensing, and litigation of IP assets and how to use IP to advance strategic business objectives.

Mr. Sostek is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, was named the 2016 and 2014 Dallas Technology Law “Lawyer of the Year” by The Best Lawyers in America, and is regularly listed in Chambers USA “Leaders in Their Field” (2004-present),  Texas Super Lawyers® (2003-present), IAM Patent 1000 (2012-2015), and as a Best Lawyer in Dallas by D Magazine (2003, 2005, 2007-present). He is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Southern Methodist University School of Law, where he teaches patent litigation, and is a regular speaker and author on a variety of intellectual property topics.
