“Longtime Dallas law firm signs new 10-year deal for its headquarters in the Arts District”

Longtime Dallas law firm Thompson & Knight LLP — which has been practicing law in the city since opening their offices in 1887 in the Old Red Courthouse — has signed a new deal adding 10 years to its lease at One Arts Plaza in the Dallas Arts District.

The firm, which was founded by colonels Bill Thompson and Bob Knight, recently extended its lease spanning roughly 160,000 square feet on five floors through 2033. Thompson & Knight initially took occupancy of the space at 1722 Routh St. in July 2008.

The extension of Thompson & Knight’s lease underscores the firm’s long-term commitment to Dallas and the Arts District neighborhood, said Mark Sloan, the firm’s managing partner.
