DALLAS — The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce Catherine J. Barbaree has joined the Firm’s Dallas office as an Associate in the Employment and Labor Practice Group.

Ms. Barbaree represents employers in litigation matters involving allegations of discrimination filed with federal and state agencies, as well as claims of retaliation, wage and hour violations, breach of contract, and non-compete agreements. Her practice also involves counseling companies on compliance with employment statutes and laws, such as Title VII, the FLSA, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2017 and her B.A., cum laude, from Boston College. Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Barbaree served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable A. Joe Fish, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas (2015) and as an Intern for the Office of United States Senator Mary Landrieu (2012). Immediately prior to joining Thompson & Knight, she was an Associate at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP in Dallas.
