DALLAS — The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce Heath C. DeJean has been appointed to serve as a member of the Houston Bar Association’s (HBA) The Houston Lawyer committee for the 2019-2020 Bar year.
Mr. DeJean is an Associate in the Firm’s Houston office and a member of the Corporate and Securities Practice Group. His experience includes the representation of underwriters and issuers in a variety of public offerings and private placements, including initial public offerings, follow-on and secondary equity offerings, high-yield and investment-grade debt offerings, acquisition financings, and related capital market and private equity transactions. He also represents clients in acquisitions, mergers, and sales; secured financing transactions; and a wide range of other corporate law matters, including the formation of corporations and limited liability companies, drafting resolutions and board consents, corporate governance, employment matters, securities compliance issues, and Exchange Act reporting. Mr. DeJean received his J.D. and Bachelor of Civil Law, magna cum laude, from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center and his B.A. from Hendrix College. In addition to his involvement with HBA, Mr. DeJean is a member of the Houston Young Lawyers Association.
