DALLAS — The law firm of Thompson & Knight is pleased to announce Heath C. DeJean, an Associate in the Firm’s Houston office, has been elected to the Board of Trustees for the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) Foundation. The LSMSA Foundation develops and manages resources to enhance the work of the state-supported residential high school for high-achieving students in order to support LSMSA’s goal of providing a safe and stimulating living-learning educational environment and ensure its program is available to all qualifying students, regardless of family financial need.
Mr. DeJean is a member of the Firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group. He focuses his practice on the representation of underwriters and issuers in a variety of public offerings and private placements, including initial public offerings, follow-on and secondary equity offerings, high-yield and investment-grade debt offerings, acquisition financings, and related capital market and private equity transactions.
Mr. DeJean received his J.D. and Bachelor of Civil Law, magna cum laude, from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center and his B.A. from Hendrix College. Mr. DeJean is also a member of the Houston Young Lawyers Association and a graduate of LSMSA.
