DALLAS — The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce Nicolas Adrian McTyre has been named Vice-Chairman of the Energy Bar Association’s (EBA) Oil and Liquids Committee for the 2019-2020 Bar year.
Mr. McTyre is an Associate in the Firm’s Austin office and a member of the Government and Regulatory Practice Group. His practice focuses on energy regulatory and transactional matters, with an emphasis on the oil and gas midstream sector. Drawing from his background as an attorney for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Mr. McTyre has extensive experience in advising on pipeline regulatory issues, tariffs, and related agreements. Mr. McTyre regularly prepares documentation relating to midstream pipeline projects, including gathering agreements, transportation services agreements, commodity purchase and sales agreements, capacity leases, gas processing agreements, tariffs, and associated regulatory filings at the federal and state levels. In addition to his involvement with the EBA, Mr. McTyre was named a Recommended Attorney in The Legal 500 US by Legalease in 2018.
The Oil and Liquids Committee is responsible for following and informing the EBA membership of FERC, appellate, and congressional actions that are relevant to the industry as well as actions of other federal and state agencies, such as the Department of Transportation and Office of Pipeline Safety, to the extent they may impact the oil and liquids pipeline industries.
The Washington, D.C.-based EBA is an international, non-profit association of attorneys, energy professionals, and students active in all areas of energy law.
