DALLAS — The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP has been recognized among the nation’s top law firms for the quality of its summer associate experience in new survey results published by The American Lawyer.
Thompson & Knight’s overall rating of 4.86 placed the Firm 33rd nationally for 2019, up from the 51st spot in 2018. The survey measured satisfaction in nine key categories on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest score.
In the key category of “Overall Rating as a Place to Work,” Thompson & Knight achieved a score of 4.968, one of the highest rankings of all firms surveyed in that area. The Firm had the same high rating in the categories of “Accuracy of Firm Self-Portrayal” and “Associate-Summer Associate Interaction.”
“These results speak to the success of our approach in welcoming Summer Associates and giving them an honest perspective of our work, culture, and expectations,” said Jessica Hammons, Thompson & Knight’s Hiring Partner. “We recognize the need to attract the best possible candidates into our program, and we continue to expand our outreach to students at the nation’s top law schools to come and experience Thompson & Knight.”
Upon completion of the 2019 Summer Associate Program, Thompson & Knight offered post-law school positions to 100 percent of second-year law students who completed the program.
Earlier this year The American Lawyer released the results of a national survey of third-, fourth-, and fifth-year law firm Associates. That survey found Thompson & Knight ranked 17th nationally in overall job satisfaction, a jump from the 46th spot in 2018.
