DALLAS — The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce Jennifer Gadd Snow has been appointed as a member of the Citizen Homelessness Commission (“CHC”) for the City of Dallas.
The CHC is an advisory body tasked with the purpose of assuring participation from, and inclusion of, all stakeholders, including those with past or present experience with homelessness, to develop policy recommendations to ensure alignment of city services with regional services to enhance efficiency, quality, and effectiveness of the community-wide response to homelessness. Members will advise the Dallas City Manager and the Dallas City Council on issues affecting homelessness; assist the city of Dallas in evaluating new and existing programs; coordinate with other local and regional bodies addressing homelessness; and perform other duties assigned by the Dallas City Manager or City Council.
Ms. Snow is Counsel in the Firm’s Healthcare Practice Group, where she focuses her practice on regulatory, compliance, and administration issues in the healthcare area, as well as healthcare-related litigation. She has experience advising clients on their obligations and rights under contractual and legal frameworks, including the Anti-Kickback Statute and the Stark law, HIPAA/HITECH, and state law governing restrictive covenants. In addition to her involvement with CHC, she serves as a member of the Better Block Foundation Board and the Twelve Hills Nature Center Board.
