Dallas – Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce Sue Murphy has been elected as a member of the Advisory Board for Inprint, Houston’s premier literary arts nonprofit organization with programs that support and engage readers and writers of fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. She will serve a two-year term, which began July 1, 2017.
Ms. Murphy is Counsel in the Healthcare Practice Group of Thompson & Knight’s Houston office. She focuses her practice on health industry operational and transactional issues, including joint ventures, group practices and managed care organizations. She has extensive experience regarding compliance with federal and state laws, including referral relationships, illegal remuneration, Stark and civil monetary penalties, state and federal licensure and certification, as well as antitrust, licensure, and insurance requirements. Ms. Murphy also has expertise in matters related to healthcare financing.
In addition to her involvement with Inprint, Ms. Murphy is a member of the American, Texas, and Houston Bar Associations and a member of the American Health Lawyers Association. She has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America (2016-2017).
