Dallas – Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce Paul K. Stafford has been elected as a member of the Board of Directors for Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas. He will serve a two-year term, which began on August 17, 2017.
Mr. Stafford is Counsel in the Trial Practice Group of Thompson & Knight’s Dallas office where he focuses his practice on complex commercial and business litigation, insurance policyholder litigation, intellectual property litigation, and white collar criminal litigation.
Mr. Stafford received a J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law (1994) and a B.S. in Political Science with a minor in Economics from Texas A&M University (1990). While at Texas Tech, he was a founding member of the Black Law Students Association. Since 2002, Mr. Stafford has taught courses on Insurance Law, Trial Advocacy, and Interviewing and Counseling as an Adjunct Professor at his alma mater, Texas Tech University School of Law.
In addition to his involvement with Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dallas, he is actively involved in civic and professional organizations. For example, Mr. Stafford has served as the President of the J. L. Turner Legal Association (2002), a member of the Board of Trustees of the Dallas Bar Foundation (2005-2013), President of the Dallas Bar Association (2012), and as a member of several State Bar of Texas committees. He also has authored and presented numerous articles, papers, and CLE presentations on insurance, e-discovery, and litigation.
