Houston, Texas – The global law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce Partner Boris A. Hidalgo has been elected a member of the Texas Court Appointed Special Advocates® (CASA) Board of Directors.
Hidalgo focuses his practice on general civil and complex commercial litigation in federal and state trial and appellate courts, federal bankruptcy courts, and before arbitration panels. His clients include major corporations in a variety of industry groups, including architecture, automotive, banking, construction, engineering, insurance, manufacturing, oil and gas, ranching, real estate, retail, seismic data, shipping, and timber management. He is actively involved in several organizations, including serving on the Board of Directors (Mayoral Appointee) for the Houston Arts Alliance, Board of Trustees for the Raul Tijerina Jr. Foundation, and Board of Advisors for the Arte Público Press, a division of the University of Houston.
The Board of Directors governs Texas CASA, Inc., a statewide nonprofit organization that supports and partners with 69 local CASA programs across Texas to recruit, train, and support court-appointed volunteer advocates who speak up for abused and neglected children.
