Dallas – The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce Mark Mutschink has been selected to serve on the Board of Directors for Union Coffee, a non-profit organization donates 10 percent of the sale of every cup of coffee purchased at Union to a local non-profit organization. He will serve a three-year term.
Mr. Mutschink is an Associate in Thompson & Knight’s Healthcare Practice Group in the Firm’s Dallas office. His practice focuses exclusively on healthcare matters including regulatory and compliance, administration, government and internal investigations, and federal and state healthcare-related litigation. He has helped clients in responding to government subpoenas and investigations, managing reimbursement issues, and analyzing matters under state and federal fraud and abuse statutes. Mr. Mutschink has also assisted clients with healthcare operational issues including providing analysis and advice related to healthcare-related agreements such as physician services, recruitment, and employment agreements, healthcare vendor agreements, and managed care agreements. He has also provided counsel on healthcare operational issues such as peer review proceedings. Recognized for his legal work, Mr. Mutschink has been selected for inclusion in Texas Rising Stars® (2018) by Thomson Reuters.
Before law school, Mr. Mutschink practiced as a licensed physical therapist in a variety of healthcare settings including outpatient, inpatient, and home healthcare, and was responsible for opening, developing, and operating outpatient clinics.
In addition to his involvement with Union Coffee, he is a Trustee of Greenland Hills United Methodist Church and a member of the State Bar of Texas and Dallas Bar Association.
Founded in November 2012, Union Coffee is built on strong community and the charitable aspect of giving 10 percent of all coffee sales to a local charity. Every four months Union selects a new organization to which to donate. To date, Union has supported eight non-profits and has raised thousands of dollars while impacting thousands of lives.
