“Trio from Kilpatrick, Townsend & Stockton join Thompson Knight in NYC”
Three real estate and banking practitioners from Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockston, one partner and two of counsel, have joined Thompson Knight in New York, bringing over five decades’ expertise between them.
Partner Keith Brandofino, has arrived at Thompson Knight after nine years at Kilpatrick, Townsend & Stockton, and two earlier stints at Phillips Lytle and Zeichner Ellman & Krause. Joining alongside him are counsel Maximiliano Rinaldi and David Mignardi, who have left Kilpatrick after six and two years, respectively.
Rinaldi was a partner for 13 years at Nanis & Rinaldi, a New York law firm, before which he was an associate at Zeichner Ellman & Krause. Mignardi previously served Eckert Seamans for three years as a financial services litigation associate.
Collectively, the trio bring a well-rounded real estate litigation practice, and experience handling matters in real estate and business finance, real estate capital markets, contracts and commercial agreements, special servicing, and distressed debt financings and workouts.
During nearly two decades, partner Brandofino has also handled loan servicing and commercial mortgage-backed securities, and built up a client cluster comprising financial institutions, creditors and mezzanine lenders. With a strong multi-jurisdictional capacity, he has brought multimillion-dollar claims to a successful solution, internationally.
Acting as “a strong extension of our existing real estate, special servicing and litigation practice… their expertise across various real estate and banking matters provides clients with a wide array of capabilities to handle complex real estate transactions and disputes”, explained Thompson Knight managing partner, Mark Sloan, in a statement.
