“Wi-LAN Patent Trial Against Ericsson Canceled”
A Florida federal judge Friday canceled a patent infringement trial against Ericsson Inc. that was supposed to start in less than two weeks, saying he intends to issue an order on Ericsson’s motion for summary judgment in the next week.
U.S. District Judge Donald M. Middlebrooks issued an order cancelling the trial involving wireless patents asserted by WiLAN Inc. against Ericsson Inc., which had been scheduled to begin on Tuesday, May 26. The judge said he intends to issue an order on Ericsson’s summary judgment motion by next Wednesday.
