“Yorktown Energy invests in Vaquero Midstream”
Vaquero Midstream LLC said Thursday, Aug. 21, it received a “substantial” equity commitment from New York-based private investment firm Yorktown Energy Partners LLC. The company didn’t respond to requests for more information. Vaquero, based in the Woodlands, Texas, offers crude oil and natural gas midstream services, including gathering, treating, processing, compression, liquids handling and transmission. The company is pursuing opportunities in emerging resource plays across North America. Vaquero management is led by CEO Gary Conway, former VP of engineering and operations at Natural Gas Partners-backed Teak Midstream LLC, which was sold to Atlas Energy LP last year for $1 billion; Bryant Patton, an oil and gas investor, principal or adviser at 40 oil and gas companies; and William Davis, who recently retired as COO from Blackstone/GSO Capital-backed Crosstex Energy, which merged with Devon Energy Corp.’s midstream assets earlier this year to form Enlink Midstream.
