T&K Chief Development Officer Receives Individual Achievement DiversityFIRST™ Award

Dallas – The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to congratulate Marcie Y. Davis for her selection as a DiversityFIRST™ Award winner by the Texas Diversity Council for being a true advocacy leader for diversity and inclusion.

The DiversityFIRST Award program recognizes and celebrates outstanding accomplishments and sustained commitment by an Individual, Community Organization, Business, Corporation, and/or Nonprofit Organization in the area of promoting appreciation for diversity, inclusion, and cultural understanding in the workplace and/or community within the stated purposes and mission of the Texas Diversity Council.

Davis serves as Thompson & Knight’s Chief Development Officer focusing on associate development, performance management, lawyer integration, skills training, and education and mentoring activities at the practice group and Firm-wide level. She previously served as the Practice Group Manager for Thompson & Knight’s Trial, Environmental, and Employment and Labor Practice Groups, as well as the Paralegal Manager and Manager of Litigation Support. Prior to that, she was a Partner in the Firm’s Trial Practice Group, focusing on civil litigation with an emphasis on commercial and general business litigation.

A committee comprised of four to six corporate professionals and academicians reviewed each nomination and selected both the winners who demonstrated efforts and achievements that have a visible, tangible, or measurable impact on the perception of, attitude toward, and respect for a truly inclusive environment. Davis will be honored at the Annual Greater Dallas Best Practices and DiversityFIRST™ Awards Luncheon on Thursday, June 19, at Southern Methodist University.
