T&K Expands Intellectual Property Practice

Dallas – The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce Austin Teng has joined the Firm’s Dallas office as an Associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group.

“Austin’s computer science and software engineering experience, in addition to his legal skills will provide value for our clients,” says Jane Politz Brandt, Co-Chair of the Firm’s IP Practice Group.

Teng focuses his practice on intellectual property matters, with extensive experience in software engineering. His litigation experience includes misappropriation of trade secrets, trademark cybersquatting, breach of contract, and fraud matters. He has prosecuted patents and trademarks in the computer, electrical, and mechanical arts, including international prosecution of a global telecommunications portfolio, and has substantial experience preparing license agreements and non-infringement opinions.

He received his J.D., cum laude, from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2014 and a B.S., cum laude, in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2006. Prior to joining Thompson & Knight, Teng served as a Senior Software Engineer at Siemens Industry, Inc.
