“First-time survey shows Dallas law firms offer generous paid parental leave”
Dallas law firms are offering nearly 17 weeks of paid maternity leave on average and eight weeks of paternity leave, according to a first-time survey of the region’s largest law firms.
Kanarys, a technology firm that promotes collaboration between employers and employees, conducted the survey in partnership with Moms in Law, the Dallas Bar Association and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers.
Only 12 of the 25 largest law firms agreed to participate, but the results provide an initial snapshot of how the legal industry is dealing with one of its most pressing work-life balance topics.
…Participating law firms were Baker McKenzie, Bell Nunnally, Haynes and Boone, Hunton Andrews Kurth, Jackson Walker, Kane Russell Coleman Logan, Munsch Hardt, Norton Rose Fulbright, Sidley, Thompson Cole, Thompson Knight and Winston & Strawn.
