Dallas – The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce Nicole Williams has been appointed Vice Chair of the Advertising Disputes and Litigation (“ADL”) Committee for the American Bar Association (“ABA”) – Section of Antitrust. She begins serving a one-year term on September 1, 2017.
Ms. Williams is a Partner in the Trial Practice Group of Thompson & Knight’s Dallas office, and focuses her practice on litigation and counseling on matters involving antitrust, advertising, RICO, gaming, banking, title curative issues, and other complex commercial disputes and government investigations. She represents clients before federal and state trial and appellate courts as well as in arbitration proceedings.
In addition to her involvement in the ADL Committee, she also serves as Vice Chair of the Dallas Judicial Nomination Commission, fosters the development of Dallas youth as a Mock Trial Coach at James Madison High School, and is Secretary of the Executive Board of Directors for Rainbow Days. Ms. Williams has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® by Woodward/White Inc. The ADL Committee follows developments and trends in the area of advertising and marketing law that flow from contested proceedings and considers the procedures intended to ensure truthfulness and accuracy in advertising through direct challenge.
