Dallas – Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce that Justin S. Cohen has been elected to the Board of the Dallas Bar Association (“DBA”) – Intellectual Property Law Section. He will serve a one-year term which will begin in January 2017.
Mr. Cohen is an Intellectual Property Partner in the Firm’s Dallas office. He focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation and counseling, and has represented clients in various patent, copyright, and trademark litigation in a variety of federal district courts, before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and in the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Mr. Cohen helps clients identify, evaluate, license, and enforce their intellectual property assets. He also has extensive expertise counseling companies with cybersecurity and data privacy issues.
In addition to his involvement with the DBA, Mr. Cohen serves as Secretary and Board Member for Arts Counsel Texas, the Chair of the Education Committee for the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and a member of the Federal and American Bar Associations. He has been recognized for his legal work in Texas Rising Stars® by Thomson Reuters (2015-2016).
Founded by 40 lawyers in 1873, the DBA is dedicated to the continuing education of its members as well as public service programs and improvement of the administration of justice.
