Dallas – The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce Jennifer Rudenick Ecklund has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center (DARCC). She began her term in January 2019.
Ms. Ecklund is a Partner in the Firm’s Dallas office and a member of the Trial Practice Group. She focuses her practice on litigation and dispute resolution, primarily in the healthcare, complex commercial litigation, and white collar litigation sections. Ms. Ecklund received her J.D., magna cum laude, from SMU Dedman School of Law, her M.S.W. from The University of Texas at Austin, and her B.S. from Northwestern University.
In addition to her involvement with the DARCC, Ms. Ecklund currently serves as a Board Member for Café Momentum and Child Poverty Action Lab. She is a member of the American and Dallas bar associations and has been named to The Best Lawyers in America® by Woodward/White Inc. (2018-2019) and Texas Rising Stars® by Thomson Reuters (2012-2017).
The mission of the DARCC is to provide survivors and their loved ones the resources they need to reclaim their lives. The Center’s comprehensive programs include counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy for those whose lives have been affected by sexual violence, as well as offering prevention, education, and outreach programs in the Dallas community.
