Houston – The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce that Ricky A. Raven has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Houston Community College Foundation (“HCC Foundation”), a non-profit organization that supports Houston Community College in its efforts to attract and educate Houston-area students with the desire and the dedication to learn, including many non-traditional students and those facing barriers to higher education. He will serve a three-year term.
Raven is a Partner in the Trial Practice Group of Thompson & Knight’s Houston office and focuses his practice on civil litigation, toxic tort, products liability, personal injury, fracking litigation, and white collar criminal defense. Practicing in Houston for more than 30 years, Raven has extensive experience in the resolution of complex litigation involving multiple plaintiffs and defendants as well as in handling single-party disputes. He has first-chaired more than 100 jury trials to verdict. In addition to HCC Foundation, he serves on the Board of Directors for numerous civic organizations, including The University of Texas Health Science Center, Ronald McDonald House of Houston, Houston Symphony Orchestra, University of Houston Alumni Association, Yellowstone Academy, and the Houston Zoo.
