Dallas – The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce Greg Meece has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center. He will serve a three-year term beginning in November 2018.
Mr. Meece is a Partner in the Firm’s Houston office and a member of the Trial Practice Group. He focuses his practice on general civil litigation, with a particular emphasis on cases involving commercial, oil and gas, lender liability, environmental, product liability, and construction issues, as well as class actions and arbitrations. Mr. Meece received his J.D., with honors, from Emory University School of Law and a B.B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
In addition to his involvement with the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center, Mr. Meece is a member of the American, Houston, and Dallas bar associations; he has been named to Texas Super Lawyers® by Thomson Reuters (2012-2018) and currently serves as a member of Thompson & Knight’s Management Committee.
The mission of the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center is to provide education about the natural environment to people of all ages and to protect and enhance the Arboretum as a haven and as a sanctuary for native plants and animals. One of the first nature education facilities for children in the state of Texas, it provides services to nearly 200,000 visitors annually.
