Dallas – The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce that Andrew Melsheimer has been elected Chair of the International Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. He will serve a one-year term.
Melsheimer is a Partner in Thompson & Knight’s International Energy Practice Group in the Firm’s Dallas office. His practice is concentrated on international and oil and gas-related matters, including cross-border transactions, investment projects, and strategic commercial and business advice. Melsheimer’s experience includes acquisitions, divestments, trades, and mergers; exploration, development, and production matters; and anti-corruption (FCPA) and economic trade sanctions. He also assists clients in dispute resolution matters (litigation and arbitration) and negotiations before federal and state courts in Louisiana, Texas, and New York as well as domestic and international arbitration panels.
