Dallas – The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Adrienne E. Dominguez is a 2018 recipient of the Hiram S. Hunn Memorial Schools and Scholarships Award. The award, given by Harvard University’s Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, recognizes outstanding alumni whose loyalty, dedication, and effort on behalf of local Schools and Scholarships committees have made unusual contributions to the admissions process, ensuring that Harvard’s incoming classes reflect a range of talent and diversity.
Ms. Dominguez is a Partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group of Thompson & Knight’s Dallas office, where she focuses her practice on intellectual property and commercial litigation. She has represented national clients in cases involving patent and copyright infringement claims, with particular expertise in patent infringement damages. In addition, she has litigated complex commercial matters involving theft of trade secrets, recovery of health care benefits, and antitrust, class action, and breach of contract lawsuits. Recognized for her legal work, Ms. Dominguez has been selected for inclusion in Texas Super Lawyers® by Thomson Reuters (2017) and Best Lawyers in Dallas by D Magazine (2016-2017). She received the Dallas Top 50 Women Lawyers Award from the Texas Diversity Council in 2017.
Ms. Dominguez currently serves as President of the Dallas Hispanic Law Foundation; a member of the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association and the Hispanic National Bar Association; and Chair of Thompson & Knight’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee. In addition, she has served as a Fellow for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, as a member of the Steering Committee for the Texas Minority Counsel Program of the State Bar of Texas, and as Co-Chair of Thompson & Knight’s Women’s Initiative Group. Ms. Dominguez is a Fellow of the American, Texas, and Dallas Bar Foundations.
Ms. Dominguez received her A.B. in History and Literature, cum laude, from Harvard in 1990 and became a member of the Harvard Club of Dallas’s Schools and Scholarships Committee in 2004; she has served as Co-Chair since 2007, with the exception of 2011-2013, when she served as Club president.
