Patrick Bredehoft focuses his practice on regulatory, compliance, administrative, and litigation-related healthcare matters, with an emphasis on government investigations and qui tam litigation defense.

Patrick has advised drug and medical device manufacturers, hospitals, long-term care providers, physician groups, and other healthcare providers on false claim issues, regulatory compliance and reimbursement matters, recoupment issues, risk management systems, insurance claims disputes, and business entity issues. He also has extensive experience in complex business, commercial, and real estate disputes; physician and hospital contract and employment disputes; and claims related to healthcare fraud, abuse, and malpractice.   • Manages hospital contract litigation for a national hospital company, including disputes related to hospital services agreements, physician recruitment agreements, provider employment agreements, medical director agreements, lease agreements, non-competition and non-solicitation covenants, peer review matters, and privacy issues

  • Represents hospital systems and healthcare providers on litigation and compliance matters involving fraud and abuse, qui tam actions, and reimbursement issues

  • Represents drug manufacturers on regulatory, compliance, and litigation matters involving drug pricing and rebate issues

  • Represents providers in claims of overpayment, underpayment, and unfair claims processing involving governmental and private insurers

  • Advises providers on operational issues, including advanced directives, medical records disclosure and privacy, medical staff relations, policies and procedures, and resident contracts

  • Represented long-term care provider and its owner in rate enhancement recoupment proceeding brought by the Texas Attorney General on behalf of the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services

  • Represented long-term care providers in claims of overpayment, underpayment, and unfair claims processing involving governmental and private insurers

  • Represented individual and corporate owners of long-term care providers in claims based on premises liability and alter ego

  • Represents clients in healthcare malpractice, wrongful death, and premises liability disputes, including claims involving hospitals, long term care facilities, rehabilitation facilities, physicians, and other healthcare providers

  • Represents national real estate broker on broker and agency litigation matters involving negligence, fraud, and breaches of fiduciary duty
