Anna Wortham focuses her practice on healthcare litigation and regulatory matters.  She represents healthcare providers, including hospital systems and hospitals, as well as physicians and physician groups, and has significant experience litigating healthcare disputes involving managed care, billing and reimbursement, and complex commercial matters, including contract, tort, employment, and business disputes.  Anna has also represented healthcare clients in regulatory and compliance matters, including government investigations.

Representative Matters

  • Represented hospitals and healthcare providers in managed care disputes with insurance companies
  • Represented home healthcare companies in multiple disputes involving fraud and breach of contract; cases involved issues with DADS, Texas Health and Human Services, and federal and state health laws and regulations
  • Represented emergency room and hospitalist management and staffing company with respect to general business matters as well as contract disputes
  • Represented healthcare providers in matters dealing with sale of medical practice, including breaches of non-competition agreements; successfully obtained emergency relief
  • Drafted wide range of transactional documents including business contracts, corporate governance documents, leases, letters of intent, purchase agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and terms and conditions
