Experience

Israel Hurtado focuses his practice on oil, gas, and energy matters. He advises Mexican and international companies in the development of infrastructure and energy projects. Additionally, Israel has extensive experience in the design and implementation of public policies to promote renewable energy and oil and gas regulation.

Israel has extensive legislative experience, including previously serving as General Director of the Legislative Liaison and Spokesman of the Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes (SCT), Head of the Legal Affairs Unit of the Secretaría de Energía (SENER), Secretary of the Board of Directors of Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX), Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), and Commissioner of the Comisión Reguladora de Energía (CRE).
