Lauren Timmons advises and represents employers in a broad range of employment and labor matters. Her experience includes representing employers in employment-related litigation and administrative matters brought by government agencies, as well as advising employers on employment-related issues, policies, and procedures.

Representative Matters

  • Defended employers in civil litigation, including single-plaintiff, collective, and class actions, involving claims under the FLSA, Title VII, SOX, the ADA, the ADEA, the FMLA, the Texas Labor Code, and various other state and federal employment laws
  • Assisted in securing summary judgment for employers in federal civil litigation involving claims under Title VII and the FLSA
  • Assisted in obtaining decertification in a nationwide wage and hour class action lawsuit
  • Represented employers in investigations conducted by the U.S. Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Texas Workforce Commission, and the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services
  • Advised employers on a broad range of labor and employment matters, including the exempt status of employees under the FLSA and the implementation of various personnel policies and procedures
  • Conducted due diligence review of a target company’s employment practices
