Nadia Haghighatian focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation, primarily in the area of patents, and has represented clients with matters involving various technologies, including software, telecommunications, electrical, mechanical, and semiconductor technologies. She has experience with formulating opinions on noninfringement and invalidity, licensing, and preparing patent portfolios for enforcement. Also, Nadia has represented clients in matters involving trademarks, trade secrets, unfair competition, and contract disputes.

- Asserted a technology company’s claims in a patent infringement matter involving 10 patents relating to mobile technologies for battery life conservation, digital content distribution, and authentication
- Represented a global semiconductor manufacturer in a patent litigation matter involving 15 patents relating to audio and video encoding and decoding, optimized graphics processing, wireless communication systems, and semiconductor device fabrication
- Defended an international oilfield service company in a patent infringement action relating to electric rig control systems; obtained settlement after a favorable claim-construction ruling
- Defended a major manufacturer of off-road vehicles for mine sites against claims of patent infringement and false advertising
- Defended a major airline in several patent infringement actions relating to customer rewards programs, message storage and delivery, website search functionalities, and mobile applications
- Defended an air travel company in a patent infringement action involving websites
- Defended a national retailer against trade secret misappropriation and breach of contract claims relating to software for tracking warranty repairs
- Assisted a semiconductor developer in organizing and categorizing a large portfolio of U.S. and foreign patents and applications for valuation and licensing
