Shad Sumrow represents clients in lending and structured finance transactions, with an emphasis on oil and gas and asset-based transactions. He also represents clients in volumetric production payment and derivative transactions.
Shad regularly counsels clients in connection with workouts, restructurings, bankruptcy, and creditors’ rights. Shad’s recent transactions provided billions of dollars in working capital and acquisition funds to companies in various sectors of the economy.
Representative Matters
- Represented an agent bank and arranger in a $1.5 billion syndicated credit facility for an independent oil and gas company with 35 bank lenders
- Represented the borrower in a $1.3 billion syndicated unsecured credit facility for an independent oil and gas company to finance an acquisition
- Represented an agent bank and arranger in a $350 million secured syndicated credit facility for an oil and gas midstream company with 18 bank lenders
- Represented an institutional purchaser of a $190 million volumetric production payment
- Represented the borrower in a $500 million syndicated senior secured credit facility for a major retailer
- Represented a mezzanine lender in a $50 million secured credit facility for an oil and gas exploration and production company
