TJ Auner focuses his practice on international energy transactions and dispute resolution matters. His experience includes matters involving the AIPN Model Form Joint Operating Agreement, unitization agreements, divestments, exploration, development, production, investor-state relations, anti-corruption (FCPA), economic trade sanctions, and the enforceability of foreign arbitration awards. His dispute-related matters have been before federal and state courts as well as domestic and international arbitration tribunals (ICSID, ICC, ICDR, CRCICA).

  • ICC arbitration, prosecuted withdrawal and preemption right provisions under joint operating agreement in North Africa
  • Advised U.S. oil and gas company on antitrust issues associated with forming a joint venture
  • Advises foreign companies on oil and gas trading issues
  • Advises companies on anti-corruption (FCPA) compliance
  • Advises companies on compliance with U.S. economic and trade sanctions
  • Advises companies on issues related to the N.Y. Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards
  • Defended discovery requests arising from an international arbitration under 28 USC § 1782
