We represent clients in civil litigation and administrative enforcement proceedings under all federal, state, and local laws that affect the employment relationship.

We assist employers in avoiding, responding to, and remedying allegations of employment discrimination and harassment on the basis of race, sex, national origin, religion, age, disability, and all forms of legally protected conduct. In addition to managing and, if possible, preventing agency investigations and lawsuits, we represent clients in administrative enforcement proceedings and civil litigation under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Act of 1991, the Fair Labor Standards Act, COBRA, OSHA, WARN, various federal retaliation and whistleblower statutes, Chapter 21 of the Texas Labor Code (formerly the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act), the Texas Payday Act, the Texas Unemployment Benefits Act, the Texas Workers’ Compensation Act, and all other federal, state, and local laws that affect the employment relationship.

  • Obtained numerous summary judgment dismissals of discrimination statutes brought under the various federal and state anti-discrimination laws
  • Obtained pretrial dismissal of a suit against a major aeronautics company alleging gender discrimination, sexual harassment, violation of the Gender Motivated Violence Act, and constitutional claims; judgment was subsequently affirmed on appeal
  • Obtained summary judgment for a Fortune 100 computer company in a suit claiming sexual harassment, race discrimination, national origin discrimination, and retaliation; judgment was subsequently affirmed on appeal
  • Obtained summary judgment in a suit against a national elevator and escalator company involving workers’ compensation discrimination, unsafe workplace, and retaliatory discharge under the Occupational Safety and Health Act
