We have litigated patent-infringement cases for decades, representing plaintiffs and defendants in federal courts throughout the country, most often in the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, the Northern and Central Districts of California, and the District of Delaware. We also regularly appear before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. International Trade Commission.

We also regularly appear before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. International Trade Commission.

  • Represented patent owner in the Eastern and Northern Districts of Texas in infringement suits involving power-management patents applicable to mobile devices
  • Represented patent owner in the Eastern District of Texas in infringement action on several patents relating to Power-over-Ethernet protocols and obtained jury verdict of infringement and validity
  • Defended international semiconductor manufacturer in the Eastern District of Texas in a patent-infringement suit relating to the 90-nanometer, 65-nanometer, 45-nanometer, and 32-nanometer semiconductor-manufacturing processes
  • Represented a leading designer and supplier of a broad range of analog, digital, mixed-signal, and optoelectronics components, subsystems, and semiconductors against a leading designer of digital televisions, Blu-ray players, and gaming systems in the Central District of California
  • Defended a major semiconductor company and one of its customers in proceedings before the U.S. International Trade Commission relating to bond-pad technology and obtained initial and final determinations of no violation relating to the bond-pad patent
  • Defended a hardware storage manufacturer in proceedings before the U.S. International Trade Commission relating to manufacture of semiconductor devices and obtained initial and final determinations of no violation relating to seven patents
  • Represented a major wireless-handset manufacturer and telecommunications-infrastructure-equipment company in the Eastern District of Texas in a patent-infringement lawsuit relating to cellular transmission protocols, obtaining a jury verdict of noninfringement and invalidity of all asserted patent claims
  • Represented a multi-billion-dollar retail conglomerate in the Northern District of Texas and Northern District of Ohio in patent-infringement lawsuits involving laser technology, and in related proceedings before the U.S. International Trade Commission
  • Represented a major U.S. airline in district court and the associated MDL proceeding in a patent-infringement suit involving rewards-program technology, obtaining a favorable claim-construction ruling that led to a stipulated noninfringement judgment
  • Represented a manufacturing company in the Central District of Illinois in a patent-infringement suit involving three-dimensional modeling of truck bodies
  • Represented a London-based video-technology company in the Northern District of Texas in a patent-infringement suit involving interactive video technology
  • Obtained judgment as a matter of law on behalf of an alarm-monitoring defendant in the middle of a patent jury trial in the Eastern District of Texas
  • Represented an airline-ticketing company in a multi-million-dollar patent-infringement suit in district court
  • Spearheaded early claim-construction and summary-judgment procedure before Judge Davis in the Eastern District of Texas, resulting in summary judgment of noninfringement for 99 defendants
  • Represented a major U.S. airline in a patent-infringement suit in the Eastern District of Texas, where we invalidated the two patents-in-suit through a motion to dismiss under Rule 12(c)
  • Represented one of the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturers in contemporaneous litigation matters pertaining to patents involving microelectronics, video, and telecommunications technologies
  • Represented a client in a patent-infringement case involving semiconductor circuit and process patents relating to battery back-up technology, power savings, real-time clocks, and related microelectronics technologies; settled favorably after the Markman hearing
  • Represented a major U.S. airline in district court and the associated MDL proceeding in a patent-infringement suit involving mobile-phone applications, obtaining favorable dismissal for our client
  • Represented a client before the International Trade Commission in patent litigation involving claims for infringement of telephone dialer chip patents
  • Represented a client in patent-infringement litigation involving a patent for the use of infrared scanning technology in security and motion-detection devices using plastic lenses
