Dallas - The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to congratulate Jane Politz Brandt on receiving a Distinguished Achievement Award from Louisiana State University (“LSU”) Paul M. Herbert Law Center. Ms. Brandt was honored for her contributions by Dean Thomas C. Galligan Jr. at the law school’s 2018 Distinguished Alumnus Celebration on March 2 in New Orleans. She received her J.D., with honors, from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1986.
Ms. Brandt is Of Counsel in the Intellectual Property of Thompson & Knight’s Dallas office. She has extensive experience in the representation of national and international clients in intellectual property disputes before federal trial and appellate courts, the International Trade Commission, and before arbitration panels. Her intellectual property practice includes patent validity and infringement, licensing, unfair competition, trademark and copyright, and trade secret disputes. In addition to her intellectual property practice, she focuses on legal issues impacting the art industry. Ms. Brandt is also Chair of the Firm's Information Management and E-Discovery Solutions Practice Group. She assists clients in establishing effective information management and document retention policies and complying with discovery obligations.
