T&K Attorneys Selected for 2019 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellowship and Pathfinders Programs

DALLAS, Texas (February 4, 2019) – The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce Jennifer Rudenick Ecklund, Courtney Jamison Roane, and Nadia E. Haghighatian have been selected to participate in Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (“LCLD”) programs in 2019. Ms. Ecklund will participate in LCLD’s Fellows Program, a year-long leadership program offering participants the opportunity to build relationships and leadership skills by connecting with and learning from top general counsels and managing partners from across the nation. Ms. Roane and Ms. Haghighatian will participate in LCLD’s Pathfinder Program, which is designed to provide diverse, high-potential, early-career attorneys with practical tools for developing and leveraging relationship building skills, foundational leadership skills, and career development strategies.

Ms. Ecklund is a Partner in the Trial Practice Group of Thompson & Knight’s Dallas office, where she focuses her practice on litigation and dispute resolution, representing clients before state and federal trial courts. She practices primarily in the healthcare, complex commercial litigation, and white collar litigation sections. Ms. Ecklund was named a “Recommended Attorney” by The Legal 500 US by Legalease (2018) and was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® by Woodward/White Inc. (2018-2019) and Texas Rising Stars® by Thomson Reuters (2012-2017). Ms. Ecklund is actively involved in her community, currently serving as a board member for Café Momentum, Child Poverty Action Lab, and the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center.

Ms. Roane is a Corporate and Securities Associate in the Firm’s Dallas office. She advises and counsels public and private companies, management teams, and private equity funds; her experience includes advising clients in a variety of industries with respect to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, internal restructurings, compliance with securities law, securities offerings, and other general corporate governance matters. Ms. Roane is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, and the J.L. Turner Legal Association. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Mi Escuelita Preschool.

Ms. Haghighatian is an Intellectual Property Associate in the Firm’s Dallas office. She focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation, primarily in the area of patents, and has represented clients with matters involving various technologies including software, telecommunications, electrical, mechanical, and semiconductor technologies. Ms. Haghighatian is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association, and the Iranian American Bar Association and was named to Texas Rising Stars® by Thomson Reuters (2018).
